Alex helps clients, teams, and individuals imagine and do design work that addresses people’s deepest needs and meets their highest aspirations. Alex grounds complex design projects in clarifying, human-centered research, and builds confidence and excitement through story, language, sound, and immersive experiences.
Since joining IDEO, he’s worked with major clients in media, government, civic innovation, financial empowerment, hospitality, financial services, and elsewhere. Alex helped found and direct Palmwood/Dubai Design Lab, IDEO’s multi-year creative partnership with the UAE Government. Alex has taught design and creativity modules at institutions including NYU, the New School, and the School of Visual Arts in New York; he’s on faculty at IDEO U.
He is also a former correspondent for public radio’s ‘The World’ and the BBC World Service, where he reported from across the globe on everything from the rise of digital gurus in India to the intersection of religion and public health in southern Africa.

Angela uses her behavioral science expertise to tackle complex behavioral challenges and design actionable solutions for clients in a variety of sectors. She also co-leads the sustainability portfolio at BEworks. Angela has worked with multinational corporations and governments to drive behavior change across a variety of domains, from reducing food waste and water consumption to energy conservation and package reduction. She is passionate about the transformative societal impact to be had by applying scientific insights to address real-world challenges.
